Need to Know

Virginia churches are gearing up for a summer full of mission trip. Check out our most up-to-date list of June mission trips, and please keep these churches in your prayers. If your church's trip is not on this list, please contact Mary Anne Bryant at mabryant@thediocese.net.

Cuttington Episcopal University in Liberia is in need of a few chasubles to use for university worship services. Please consider donating gently used or new chasubles (especially white, green or festal) to Cuttington University via the Very Rev. James McCaskill at St. Paul's Bailey's Crossroads, who will be traveling there on June 18. Please contact him at rector@stpaulsbxr.org to arrange for collection prior to June 18.

The Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston will ordain Joseph Miller Cochran, Christopher Westlund Hogin, Matthew McClelland Lukens, Grey Scott Maggiano, Connor Jackson Newlun, Barbara Harrison Seward, Ann Harris Truitt and Bernard Yu Yung to the transitional diaconate on Saturday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Epiphany, Oak Hill. Clergy: red stoles.
The Rt. Rev. Susan E. Goff will ordain Rock Higgins to the transitional diaconate at St. Andrew's, Richmond on Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. Clergy: red stoles.

Bishop's Jubilee

Join friends new and old for the annual Bishop's Jubilee, which brings first-rate musical acts to Shrine Mont for a festival of fun, July 5-7!

The weekend includes a special alumni gathering, the 5K run/walk, a Frisbee tournament and the Family FunFest, plus two headliner bands: Drymill Road and the Naked Mountain Boys. Saturday's festivities will also include a performance by diocesan favorite, Hoss.
