Calling All Nurses!
Do you truly enjoy working with children? Do you love being outdoors? Is a sense of community important to you? If so, camp nursing is a rewarding opportunity to care for others in a new and different setting. Working in a camp environment provides a fun, challenging experience and opportunities for growth and leadership in a camp community. Shrine Mont Camps are looking for nurses to staff our two infirmaries for the 2013 camp season (mid June-mid August). Applicants should be RNs or LPNs and must be available for a one- or two-week session at Shrine Mont. Nurses live on-site in the camp infirmary and respond to the medical needs of campers and staff. They must be able and willing to work long hours, must have confidence and experience working with children, and must be team players who collaborate and consult with the director of Shrine Mont Camps and the other nurses. Our nursing team is an essential part of the leadership at camp, and it is important to find nurses who love camp, love kids, and who can help tend to the physical safety and wellness of all of our programs. Are you the perfect link? Compensation is $700 a week, plus room and board for the nurse and a spouse (if applicable). Please e-mail resumes to Paris Ball at pball@thediocese.net.
