Need to Know

- The Episcopal Church Foundation has announced its spring web conference series, including free online workshops on stewardship campaigns, vestry leadership and more.
- Calling all nurses! The summer camps at Shrine Mont are in need of nurses to staff two infirmaries from mid-June through mid-August. Applicants should be RNs or LPNs and must be available for a minimum of 1-2 weeks to live onsite at Shrine Mont and respond to medical needs of the campers and staff. Our nursing team is an essential part of the leadership at camp, and it is important to find nurses who love camp, love kids, and can tend to the physical safety and wellness of all of our programs. Compensation plus room and board provided. Please contact Paris Ball at pball@thediocese.net!

Opportunity for Young Adults
Grace-on-the-Hill is a 10-month residential program during which 5-6 interns live together in intentional Christian community following a Rule of Life grounded in common prayer and meals, simplicity, and service in an urban environment. Residents work approximately 25 hours a week on staff in a local non-profit organizations, schools, or churches, and have time each week dedicated to spiritual reflection, vocational discernment and leadership formation. Interns will be invited and encouraged to engage deeply in the Oregon Hill community of Richmond, Va., establishing relationships with residents, getting to know the local ecology, and participating in projects and other activities that enhance the neighborhood's ability to flourish.
This is an opportunity for recent college graduates to spend a year in discernment and community, working to strengthen and develop a neighborhood. It is also a chance for young people to live more fully as part of the life of a local episcopal congregation, as interns are expected to worship regularly at St. Andrew's Church and participate in their common life and ministries.
