Need to Know
- This morning the Supreme Court of Virginia is hearing the case for the Falls Church Anglican's appeal and the Diocese of Virginia's cross-appeal on whether the Diocese has a trust interest in the real and personal property of the Falls Church. A decision is expected in the first half of the year.
- The Diocese is pleased to welcome the Rev. Deacon Ed Jones as secretary and chief of staff. Ed will start his new work the week of March 25. Learn more.
- The Diocese is currently accepting applications for a staff officer for stewardship and congregational development. Know any good candidates? Help us spread the word!
- The Rev. Penny Bridges will be traveling to South Sudan in early April, and her host, the Bishop of Ezo, has suggested that his clergy would welcome gently used clerical collars and shirts. If you have clean items in good shape that you no longer need, please consider sending them to Penny at St. Francis Church, 9220 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls, VA 22066.

- The Virginia chapter of the Leadership Program for Musicians will host a one-day workshop: "The Music of the Spheres: Choral Anthems from Hymnals and Beyond," March 9 at Holy Comforter, Richmond. The diocesan office of Christian Formation will host Youth Leader Connections, a new program featuring networking gatherings for youth leaders from across the Diocese, on Tuesday, March 5 at St. Stephen's, Richmond and on Thursday, March 7 at Grace Church, Alexandria. Have you reserved your tickets for the Tallis Scholars? These world-renowned performers of contemporary and Renaissance music will bring two exclusive performances to Virginia as part of the Diocese's new Episcopal Arts Series: Tuesday, March 19 at the Falls Church, Falls Church and Wednesday, March 20 at St. James's, Richmond.
