Need to Know   
  • Each church in the Diocese must submit a Communicants in Good Standing Form and a Certificate of Election for Lay Delegates/Alternates to the Council Office no later than April 15, 2013. Each region should submit a Certificate of Election for Youth Delegate/Alternate, as well. Forms are available online
  • The Supreme Court of Virginia has announced that it will hear the case of the Falls Church Anglican's appeal and the Diocese of Virginia's cross-appeal on Wednesday, February 27. Please keep all those involved in your prayers.
  • We need your contributions for the next issue of the Virginia Episcopalian magazine! When did you know that you had found a church home? Send us your responses - in prose, poetry, prayer or pictures - to Emily Cherry by February 25: [email protected].   
  • Check out the diocesan Youth Leaders Blog for the latest on a new program that will bring together youth workers in our diocese for networking and collaboration: Youth Leader Connections start March 5!    
  • Is your church involved in Outreach and Mission in Honduras?  We are forming a diocesan ministry team to share ideas, experiences and plans for outreach and mission to Honduras. To join in, please send your name, e-mail, telephone number and name of your church to Sharon Holcombe at [email protected].  Sharon and her husband Richard lead the mission to Honduras ministry  at Church of the Good Shepherd, Burke.

  • The Virginia chapter of the Leadership Program for Musicians will host a one-day workshop: "The Music of the Spheres: Choral Anthems from Hymnals and Beyond," March 9 at Holy Comforter, Richmond.   • The Choir of Men and Boys at All Saints Episcopal, Richmond is now interviewing young men (ages 8-11) for membership. We have openings for six boys. Boy choristers will learn and perform music from the vast repertoire of the English cathedral tradition.
