Diocesan Events
- Mr. Chuck McCoart, formerly a Roman Catholic priest, will be received as a priest in the Episcopal Church on Saturday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aidan's. The Rt. Rev. Edwin Gulick will preside.
- The next Stewardship of Creation Committee meeting is Saturday, January 12 (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.), at Church of the Holy Comforter, Richmond. This is our regular January meeting to discuss our 2013 annual conference, continue our inter-faith discussions with other denominations and focus our efforts to better communicate "caring for God's Creation" throughout the Diocese and beyond. Anne Lynn, American Friends of Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem's executive director, along with other leaders, brings the lively "Explore the Diocese of Jerusalem" seminar and workshop to St. Stephen's Church, 6000 Grove Avenue, Richmond, on January 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's an opportunity to explore the issues facing the Diocese of Jerusalem, discuss how we can engage ourselves and others in this compelling cause, share what we may already be doing in this ministry, and discuss and explore new initiatives. Nominations, Submissions and Annual Reports TOMORROW - Thursday, January 10 - is the deadline to submit nominations, resolutions, amendments and annual reports to the Council office! Download the appropriate forms on the Council website.
Print Packet
A print-ready packet of Council materials will be available online after 10 a.m. on Friday, January 11. Council members, please bring this material with you to the Pre-Council meeting and the Council meeting.
Pre-Council Open Hearings
All members of Council are encouraged to attend the Pre-Council Open Hearings on amendments, resolutions and budget on Saturday, January 12 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church, Glen Allen. A special orientation for youth delegates will take place at Christ Church starting at 9 a.m.
