  • Learn more about the ministries we share together as a church community in this year's diocesan brochure, Setting God's Table.   • The Virginia Episcopalian magazine wants to know: How has your church changed your life? Share your responses - in prose, poetry or pictures - to be included in the Reader's Page feature of the magazine. Please contact Emily Cherry at echerry@thediocese.net.    
  • Dates for the 2013 season of diocesan summer camps at Shrine Mont are now available! Check out the camp website for more info. Registration will open in January. If you have questions or have never been to camp before, please contact Meg Schwarz at mschwarz@thediocese.net or 800-DIOCESE x1043.
  • The Transition Ministry Office has released a newly updated version of the Search Process Booklet for churches seeking new clergy. The Search Process Booklet is available online.

  • This afternoon is your last chance to participate in a discernment gathering to discuss the future of diocesan camps at Shrine Mont. Join us at Grace Church, Kilmarnock today - Wednesday, November 14 - from 4:30-6 p.m. to share your thoughts on the future of camps. Hosted by Shrine Mont and the Diocese.  
  • This weekend brings a great opportunity to learn about potential mission trips for your congregation. Disaster Preparedness and Response Volunteer Day, November 17 at Aquia, Stafford, will help individuals prepare for potential disasters and provide information about potential disaster recovery missions, with a special focus on those affected by Hurricane Sandy. 218th Annual Council: Setting God's Table 
The website for the 218th Annual Council is now live and packed with useful information. We'll be gathering under the theme of "Setting God's Table" to look at the gifts we bring as a community to support our mission and ministry. Here's just a glimpse of what you need to know to prepare for the 2013 Council meeting. Check out the website for full details.

Council will take place January 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency Reston.

Make plans to attend the Pre-Council Open Hearings, January 12 at Christ Church, Glen Allen.

Registration is open and available online and as a mail-in form. Register by December 14 to receive the early-bird discount rate!

Remember to make your lodging reservations separately with the Hyatt Regency Reston.

Exhibitors should register by January 11.

Submissions of nominations, resolutions, and canonical amendments should be made by January 10.
