The personal and the political are indistinguishable in American playwright George Brant's gripping one-woman play about a hot-rod fighter pilot whose unexpected pregnancy ends her career in the sky.
MMSC's Fall 2014 Season
Regional premiere of

A hotshot F-16 pilot reports back to duty after an unexpected pregnancy, and finds herself reassigned to flying drones from a windowless trailer near Las Vegas. As she hunts insurgents by day and returns to her family each night, boundaries increasingly blur between the desert in which she lives and the virtual one she patrols a world away. Grounded is a gripping new play that explodes our assumptions about war, family, and personal responsibility.

Directed by Christine Crawfis and featuring Janet Nurre as The Pilot.
