We are very thankful for your prayers on our behalf. God is certainly moving in and through our ministry, both in prison and out here.

Last month, we highlighted some remarks from a Discipler. This month, I would like to share the words of a prisoner:

"Metanoia has made a very positive change in my daily life in prison. It opened the door of my heart to re-dedicate my life to serving the Lord and reminded me that even in prison God and his Son Jesus Christ love me, even when no one else seems to care."

Spending an hour or so per month grading a prisoner's lesson and writing an encouraging letter may seem trivial to many of us out here. For many prisoners, however, that trivial action is a demonstration of the love of God through Christ and it brings great light to a dark place.
May Travel Schedule
  • 5th-9th, Chicago area: Speaking to a group of ministry supporters and at Living Hope Church.
  • 20-22nd, Atlanta: Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association Conference
May Update & Praise
  • Shelly has worked hard to get the Apostles' Creed study formatted and out to prisoners, but it is no going!
  • Financially, Metanoia has experienced the best first quarter of a year in our history. We praise God for his faithfulness to us in this way.
May Prayer Requests
  • Please pray for Shelly as she keeps up the daily work of maintaining the correspondence ministry.
  • Please pray for the creation of our national database. Someone is working on this for us and it will link together churches, prisons, prisoners, service providers, etc.
  • Please pray for our financial support. Might you consider approaching your church to support us? Or, might you support us yourself? You can do so by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
  • Please pray for Rev. Randy Jackson and the expansion of the mentoring ministry into the State of Georgia. Once again we were told by a high-level Corrections Official that this is the most important component of the faith and character model. Pray that God will raise up the laborers.
