2013 Fifty Days of Prayer in Full Swing!

This year's devotional - So Great a Salvation - focuses on the ordo salutis, showing both the underlying Reformed theology and the practical devotion such a work of the Spirit elicits by His grace. Summer Internship in Atlantic City NJ

Explosion in West TX
| On Wednesday, April 17, a major explosion occurred in West TX at a local fertilizer plant. At least 14 people were killed, 200 injured and scores of homes and businesses destroyed in one of the worst American industrial accidents in years. MNA Disaster Response staff has been in communication with the State Department of Emergency Management, City Council, and other volunteer organizations (VOAD) as well as manning the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and attending planning meetings. New City Music Conference

This conference will bring together worship leaders and planners, musicians and pastors from the New City Network and other congregations to engage in cross-cultural worship, fellowship, and learning. The program will be evangelical and Reformed, exploring Northern European, African, African-American, and Hispanic traditions as well as contemporary musical worship expressions in these cultures. MNA SecondCareer Ministry has a variety of opportunities for lay people to assist in ministry; many of these are particularly aimed at aiding church planters. For example, Pastor McKay Caston of Creekstone Church, in Dahlonega GA is seeking a volunteer to serve as a church administrator. This volunteer would assist the lead pastor and pastor of community and discipleship in a variety of administrative tasks so that they can focus on their primary ministries of leading, preaching, outreach, discipling and building community. Church Planter Update: Kansas City KS
|  Chris Lemmon is the Ministry Site Director at the Woodland Ridge Presbyterian Church KCK site (Kansas City). Woodland Ridge worships in two sites; the original congregation is in Overland Park (http://www.woodlandridgepres.com/), where Skip Bayles is the Senior Pastor. Both sites are reaching the immigrant community around them and enfolding them into the congregation in a variety of ways including tutoring and ESL classes. Sacred Road Ministries in Yakama WA is looking to hire a summer intern. This position could be filled by an individual or a married couple to be project coordinators in their Warm Springs Reservation location. This person/couple would serve as the point person to oversee and assist with coordination of the work of the volunteer teams. This commitment is for 12 weeks (including training). | Volunteers Needed - Ascension PCA, Brooklyn NY |  Ascension PCA has asked MNA Disaster Response to help provide volunteers to serve with them in reaching out to the Broad Channel area, a community of Brooklyn. Broad Channel is a narrow strip of land, five city blocks wide at its widest point. It has 920 homes, all of which were submerged in nine feet of water during the hurricane. Approximately 60% of these 920 homes have children. The needs are profound and Ascension has made this area their target to assist with recovery from Hurricane Sandy.
