We'd Like to Thank All of our Moonlight in the Vines Sponsors!

This year's Moonlight in the Vines will be on
Saturday, July 30, from 6-10 p.m.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors!! They are listed on our website. Please take a moment to check them out and show your support to them! And we still have room for more sponsorships - info can be found on the same webpage.

Moonlight in the Vines will be held once again at the beautiful McGrail Vineyards in Livermore! We'll have live music and dancing, fabulous food, award winning wines, bocce ball, live & silent auctions, and much more! All proceeds to benefit Sunflower Hill and help further our mission to develop a community for individuals with special needs that provides for life-long residency options and quality activities/programming - akin to 'senior living.'

Tickets are going fast and are still on sale!

More info is on our webpage regarding purchasing tickets, sponsorships and all the details.

Great progress on SFH Residential Communities!
We're pleased to let you know that Sunflower Hill and MidPen Housing will be filing initial entitlement paperwork this month for our 45 residential community in Livermore! Our proposed affinity community is located on First Street - directly across from the Lowes/Safeway Shopping Center. Dahlin Architects has designed a beautiful mix of studio, one and two bedroom units, along with a design that affords a private master bedroom/master bath option with a common kitchen and living room area for several residents. Much of the design directly reflects suggestions made by Sunflower Hill families in the January and February focus groups. We are grateful for the support of the city of Livermore on this wonderful project. Visit our website to see more!

Great things are also happening in Pleasanton. Mike Serpa, the developer of Irby Ranch has resubmitted his site plans. City staff has scheduled several important dates for additional review (and hopefully approval!). Please join us on Wednesday July 27th at 7 p.m. at Pleasanton City Hall for the Planning Commission review. The Pleasanton City Council will then review at either the August 16 or September 6 meeting. For an update on Irby Ranch and this planned subdivision in Pleasanton, please click here.

Tree Dedication Ceremony at Sunflower Hill Gardens
Thank you to all that attended our Family Workday and Tree Dedication Ceremony last Saturday in our Garden! We honored all of our orchard tree sponsors that purchased trees last year and we are excited to watch all of them grow into mature, beautiful and bountiful trees. You can see all the pictures from this fun morning on our Flickr Page.

Our next Family Workday will be August 13 from 9-12.

Sip-N-Paint Event was So Much Fun!
We held our first Sip 'N Paint on June 8 in our SFH Gardens and had so much fun! Local artists Kat and Jeremy Hartgraves from Inner Artiste were fantastic in helping us all create our beautiful sunflowers. KPIX news anchor, Juliette Goodrich attended and did a news story on SFH! It will air soon - we'll keep you posted on when. Thank you, Juliette!

Thank you to everyone that attended and a BIG thanks to our SFH Garden Team (and SFH board members), Lynn Monica, Chris Bogert and especially Tanya Ludden who headed up this special event. We can't wait for our next one!
Please Join Us at the Hagemann Ranch Open House on July 2!
Hagemann Ranch is holding an Open House on Saturday, July 2 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There will be a free BBQ, a fire engine on hand, a petting zoo and more! Their ranch partners will also be there: Sunflower Hill, Del Arroyo 4-H and Fertile Groundworks. Join us for a day of free neighborhood fun and heritage at 455 Olivina Avenue!
