Thank you, Lynne for contributing!
Our Sunflower Hill Gardens Continue to Grow!!

Sunflower Hill Gardens continues to produce! We have harvested over 4000 lbs of wonderful produce to date, and donated ~65% to low-income food pantries and individuals! As a licensed Community Food Producer, we have also sold produce to several local restaurants/individuals. We have begun to plant our Fall season produce and in October we will begin to plant our orchard with the fruit trees that were sponsored at our SFH Ribbon Cutting.

In addition, we have expanded our special needs program and groups to include the RES Danville adult day program! Additionally, transition classes from Pleasanton, Dublin, Amador and Foothill school programs are all planning to come out to the SFH Gardens very soon.

The SFH Gardens infrastructure also continues to move forward. We have set up our harvesting station and the 8th grade Pleasanton Boys Team Charity built us two beautiful wheel chair-friendly raised beds! Next we plan to work on building additional raised beds, picnic tables, and a shed.

We have several dedicated volunteers who have been helping in the garden regularly, however we still need more VOLUNTEERS to help with our garden and programs!! Our weekly volunteer days are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am-12pm (check our website for any updates).

If you would like to contact us or want to pre-order some produce, flowers, or join the CSA produce program, email us at gardens@sunflowerhill.org.
Thank You Whole Foods!

HUGE THANKS to Whole Foods Market in Dublin, CA for choosing Sunflower Hill as a recipient for their Whole Foods 5% Community Giving Program! It was such a pleasure working with Paul Barron at the Dublin store and we are excited to announce that all of your efforts in #ShoppingForACause on Wednesday, August 26 paid off. Whole Foods is presenting us with a check for $4,220.55!!!!! WOW!!

So thank you, Dublin Whole Foods and thank you to all of YOU for coming out to shop and support Sunflower Hill!
