Kato has unofficially announced a spectacular new N scale Steam Locomotive...



About The Model

Coming soon - the most recognizable and famous UP Steam Locomotive, the FEF (Four-Eight-Four), coming late 2014/Early 2015 from Kato USA! 

Featuring a number of revolutionary design innovations, including 
  • a coreless motor with dual flywheels for silky-smooth side rod operation at any speed (even a slow crawl!)
  • inside bearing wheels (where appropriate)
  • a special articulated undercarriage on the unique, 14-wheel Tender to allow the locomotive to navigate tighter curves and S-bends!

Pre-order now for what is sure to be an exceptional new model from SBS4DCC.  

Kato has not announced pricing yet but I would expect the MSRP to be around $250-$300 based on past products.  Price will be updated once the information becomes available.

Delivery is expected in January or February of 2015.

HO FVM EMD GP60M-B


Fox Valley Models has announced a new model locomotive in HO scale.  Introducing the GP60M and B.  The unit will be offered a couple of great paint schemes and will feature DCC and sound from ESU LokSound.

These are sure to be great looking and great running models.

The InterMountain Railway Company has re-announced the SD45-2 model in DC, DCC, and DCC with Sound options.  

The current offering includes all previous released models plus new paint schemes for Pan-am Railways, Reading Blue Mountain & Northern, and TFM Leasing.

The new N Scale SD45-2 Locomotive has been manufactured with all new tooling. 

The finely molded parts have been designed to reproduce railroad specific details.

Sound units come equipped with ESU LokSound Select Micro with Next18 plug; Non-Sound DCC units are equipped with ESU LokPilot Micro with Next18 Plug.

Just a reminder that SBS4DCC features real-time inventory tracking.  If it says it is in stock... it IS...  I try to maintain a strong selection of DCC and Model Railroad products and try not to hide what I do not stock yet.  I appreciate the opportunity to provide catalog items when you can wait a few extra days as this makes a huge difference in my ability to grow and expand my selection.

 

Every now and then, I do run out of an item.  Backorders are accepted on many stock items and orders can still be placed for those items through the web store.
