SBS4DCC Home         |                    The Backshop Scoot, Train 140619              |         Store Home

I would like to start off this edition of the Backshop Scoot with a brief announcement regarding a planned vacation the week following the July 4 holiday.

I am on vacation from 7/3/14 through 7/13/14.  Phone reception may be spotty OR I may just be having some fun so please leave a message if you call.  Yes, I do try hard to return those...  Email works great too...

The store will remain open during this period.  It is open 24-7-365 after all.   Orders for in-stock merchandise received by 7/2/14 will ship prior to closing on 7/3/14.

I will finalize and ship orders received while I am away as quickly as possible upon my return.

Thanks to you all for your patience and your patronage.

With kind regards, Bryan

Product Survey...

I have been working with my LED supplier to obtain a true signal green LED in sizes 1206 and 0603.  I will have to have them manufactured to my specs but I do that now anyway on my warm white and cool whites so thats not a bog deal.

The project looks doable but I wonder how much need or interest there is for this item.  It is a substantial investment so l want to get a sense of what you want.

The dominant wavelength would be 507 which falls solidly in the range required for green signal aspects by the FRA.

The LED would be great for use in marker lights, signals and traffic lights.... that is unless you like the goblin green that is predominant in the market.

Email your feedback regarding interest, sizes, and color to [email protected].  I may not reply directly to all feedback but will read it all and take your comments into consideration.

Thanks for your feedback.

SBS4DCC - Stock Status Information

Just a reminder that SBS4DCC features real-time inventory tracking.  If it says it is in stock... it IS...  I try to maintain a strong selection of DCC and Model Railroad products and try not to hide what I do not stock yet.  I appreciate the opportunity to provide catalog items when you can wait a few extra days as this makes a huge difference in my ability to grow and expand my selection.

Every now and then, I do run out of an item.  Backorders are accepted on many stock items and orders can still be placed for those items through the web store.

I also offer a number of catalog items.  These are products I am able to offer but not able to stock.  Please call or email to confirm availability and lead time.

Don't see what you need?  I have a growing list of suppliers so be sure to ask about any product you need that is not listed on my site.
