Following up on a post from two weeks ago, UAIR team member Mitch made the requested modifications to the Financials > General - Financial Management > Fedex Report dashboard prompt that Star Club Member Maria had suggested. Check out the changes here. Thanks for the suggestion, Maria, and thanks for the work, Mitch.

Getting Ready for the July/August Hiring Rush

Remember to start your hiring processes well in advance of actual new hire start dates. It will be less stressful for everyone involved. July and August are historically the busiest months for hiring. Avoid the crowds and get your hiring transactions submitted early.

Not sure how? Come to training!

We have posted two classes in the next two weeks to help you out. Enroll now to make sure you get a seat.

UAccess Research Reports and Dashboards

If you or your department or college have customized versions of Research-based reports or dashboards - reports that you copied or borrowed from the Research dashboards prior to April 27th of this year - please remember that the data in those custom reports is no longer being updated to reflect current reality. In fact, the subject areas from which those reports were created will be removed and will no longer be available after June 30, 2015. See them hereThey've already been removed from the list of available subject areas. If you wish to retain those reports and dashboards - or updated versions of them - you must recreate those reports and dashboards using the new Research subject areas. This information was explained very well in this April 26th posting by UAIR team member Mahsa Perez on the Community. Click through for complete information. For assistance in recreating your reports or dashboards, feel free to sign up for Analytics Office Hours or contact the UAIR Team using the UAccess Community.

Tips & Tricks
This month's tip is for UAccess Analytics.

Are you working on filters for an analysis that uses any of the main Financials reporting subject areas? Those would be KFS - Account Monthly and Cumulative Activity, KFS - Labor Ledger Entries, and KFS - Ledger Entries. If so, you may have been confused by the fact that there are several instances of Organization Code scattered around throughout the subject area. That was done purposefully. The Account > Organization Code data column can be used in a report, and can be used as a filter. This will return data for the specified organization only. Same goes for the Organization > Organization Code data column. If, however, you were to use Organization > Organization Hierarchy (Financial System) > Organization-Code as a filter, you would get all of the account information from the specified organization and you'd also get account information from any organization that rolled up to the specified org. The same would be true for the higher level organizations in that hierarchy. If  you were to use Organization > Organization Hierarchy (Financial System) > College Code, you'd get account information for that college and all of the departments that rolled into that college. Neat, huh?
