Billing Calendar Comments

It is important to add comments to those items/services on the billing calendar, especially to those that are sponsor paid or non-billable. Taking this proactive step helps reduce the number of questions that occur at time of initial review by CRAO.

MiChart Charge Clean Up
null A MiChart charge clean up process is currently underway with all billing units and may potentially impact your research accounts. Charges have been identified with dates of service as far back as February 2012. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and extra burden this may cause. Please continue to submit corrections to CRAO at CRBIssues-help@med.umich.edu and know that we are committed to work diligently in a flexible manner to resolve any difficulties you encounter.

Dis-enrolling Subjects from MBECT
The Importance of Dis-enrollment

Please remember the benefits of dis-enrolling subjects from MBECT when the study participant has completed participation in a clinical trial or is "off study".

Benefits include:

  • Reduces clinical research billing errors
  • Makes data in MBECT and MiChart more reliable
  • Reduces Research Work Queue workload = faster routing of charges
To help with this clean-up we have identified enrollment on terminated studies with no dis-enrollment date, we will be reaching out to the study teams to capture dis-enrollment dates in MBECT.
