Current Billing Calendars Essential for
Charge Adjudication
Prevent billing errors by making sure that the team reviewing research charges has the most current version of your billing calendar. While CRAO and the MBECT team rely on MBECT as a useful tool in study management, remember that the final approved version of your calendar in eResearch is the calendar that is used to adjudicate charges and determine if they should be billed to the study or the subject. If you make changes to your billing calendar, or if changes were made on your behalf as part of our conversion process, you must submit an amendment to have the changes approved.
If you aren't sure if a change in your study impacts your billing
calendar ask your CRAO analyst for guidance.
Announcements
We are pleased to announce that CRAO has two new staff members!
Tracy Muck has joined our team as a Billing Calendar Analyst.  Tracy will be performing study analysis and billing calendar approval functions. She has been with the University for 4 years and joins us from the Department of Pharmacy.

Alexandra Mahrle is working with the Clinical Research Billing Team.  She will be doing various projects and assisting with updating information in MiChart to improve the billing functions.

Please help us in welcoming them both!

Don't forget to utilize the procedure bundles in MBECT when preparing your billing calendars.  The bundles have been created to contain most items and services associated with specific procedures.  This helps assist with capturing all billing items related to the procedure.  There are also bundles created for anesthesia/OR/recovery room for your convenience.
