T.E.A.C.H. accepting scholarship applications  

Child Care Center and Preschool Directors:

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® IOWA is currently accepting scholarship applications. Who do you know that is ready for a step in their professional development journey? Maybe you supervise, mentor or know someone who just needs a little encouragement to take the plunge and go back to school. Maybe you're ready to take a program administration class. Take the lead and share T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship information! 
 
T.E.A.C.H. can support anyone who:
  • Works in a regulated preschool, child care center or home program for at least 30 hours per week (or full time for the hours a preschool offers programming)
  • Has worked with children birth to age 5 in their current program for at least 3 months
  • Is working toward an early childhood degree, credential or endorsement program at an Iowa college (or would like to be)
  • Has the support of your employer and provides proof of participation or willingness to participate in a quality initiative such as QRS, QPPS, Head Start or NAEYC/NAFCC accreditation
 T.E.A.C.H. provides scholarships for:
  • CDA assessments
  • CDA renewals
  • Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education
  • Bachelor Degrees in Early Childhood Education
  • Early Childhood endorsements to teaching licenses
  • Teacher licensure renewal
  • One class option - Program Administration or Child Health Safety and Nutrition (fulfills DHS health and safety preservice training requirement)
