Iowa DHS making program information more accessible
With the number of working parents in Iowa, more and more information is being asked about you, as a licensed center or registered child development home. Parents and the public want to know more about your program beyond your hours, if you have openings and your rates. They want to learn more about the training of your staff, the quality of your care and how well you are complying with regulations.

Through the DHS KinderTrack child care system, the Child Care Provider Training Registry and the Quality Rating System webpage, a great deal of information is already available on your program. To increase understanding of how well you meet the standards for licensing and registration, DHS will soon be posting information on your monitoring visits.

Because you are a regulated provider, this information is already public information; however the information is not currently easily accessible to parents.

Read more about the details of when and how this information will be posted by clicking here.

Keep your e-mail contact information up-to-date

We're going green; which means a lot less paper in your mailbox. The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) has gone green too. And that means updating your e-mail contact information is more important then ever.

Updating your e-mail with us will get you important information regarding Iowa Laws, regulation changes, Quality Rating System changes and anything else DHS would usually send in the mail.

Updating your e-mail on the Training Registry will ensure you get the proper notifications if class details are changed.
