Greetings!
You can tell it's getting close to the Fourth of July celebration as the fireworks started early during the Jacksonville Junior Open being played at the awesome Jacksonville Golf and Country Club this past Monday. I don't know about you, but I like fireworks on the golf course.
With all the junior competitive golf going on between the Florida Junior Tour, NFPGA, FSGA, AJGA and the Hurricane Tour we still had Seventy-Seven players who hit the links for this great one day event.
The golf was nothing short of Star-Spangled Banner quality and the golf course was the rave of the 2014-2015 season by players, staff and spectators as the JGCC was in ELITE condition. The course was in such great condition that you didn't want to take a divot out of the fairways, with greens as pure as pure can be. Kudos to the Professional Staff and the outstanding JG&CC membership for allowing the NFJG TOUR to compete on such a fine course.
With only four events left in the season (including three majors) our junior tour players are gearing up for the challenge and a shot at the championship. The three two day events will determine the "Best of the Best" in the North Florida junior golf arena.
