Greetings!
Yup! Playoffs was the word of the day in the "I've Got a Dream Invitational" as thirty eight junior TOUR players teed it up on two great golf courses along with two beautiful days of weather equaling one awesome weekend! As always my first and foremost appreciation goes out to the wonderful maintenance and professional staff at St. Johns Golf Club and Hidden Hills Country Club. Their attention to detail made this event very special amongst a very special and historic holiday.
Also, many thanks to the parents, grandparents and juniors for your continued support and participation. It's through our TEAMWORK which makes this foundation and tour what it is today. The best premier junior tour around! On Sunday the conditions were perfect to spectate, but it might have been a little windy to play in, but for the middle of January who can complain. The golf course, a little wet from the rain in the week prior, paired with the wind that just seemed to always be in your face played quite long. Monday, although starting out a little chilly was golfing heaven! First to tee it up were the nine 16-18 year old boys and winning in a playoff over Kyle Jewett was Alex Austin who won his first tournament in the eldest Elite Division. In the 13-15 boys division Dragon Theam snuck by Davis Lee by one stroke after two days of neck and neck and nail biting play. First division to complete their tournament was the Foundation division in which Alexander Lymus beat out Jackson Klauk with a twenty foot putt to win in a playoff. The 10-12 boys division would be our third and final playoff of the day with RJ Glod beating out Daniel Mazur.
In the girls division Olivia Whitten ran away with the title, winning by fourteen strokes. Click to learn more...
Don't forget to sign up for the Lake City Open. This weekend we are playing at the Country Club of Lake City. This opportunity to get out to Lake City and enjoy the beautiful courses they have to offer us doesn't come around often, so register today as registration closes tomorrow night at 8:00 pm. I know the venue isn't the closest but trust me it is well worth the drive. If you can't make the drive, but would still like to enter your junior, please contact us as we are trying to aid in carpooling to the event. |
