The Chamber board of directors and staff look forward to seeing you there!
|
Greetings Members,
With just a few weeks left in my term as your Chairman, I am excited about the future of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce. As I write this, the Chamber's board of directors, committees and staff are working hard to create new business opportunities and value for you!
In case you missed it, the Chamber had an eventful May:
- The month kicked off with the 50th anniversary of the semi-annual flea market on May 1. Kudos to Anna Zarley and the many volunteers who made this event a success.
- The Chamber celebrated academic excellence with the awarding of $7,000 in Work Ethic Scholarships at our monthly luncheon. A huge thanks to chairwoman Kim Perkins and the scholarship committee for their hard work in the selection process. Also, let's show our appreciation for the scholarship program donors: Southern California Gas Company, Choices In Learning National Foundation, Melchers Construction Company, Los Angeles County 5th District Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, Zonta Club of Antelope Valley, Care Pest Solutions, OPSEC Specialized Protection, First City Credit Union, High Desert Health Systems Auxiliary and Tamara Stoebe - Stoebe Services.
- Breakfast Sponsor, Senior Resource Alliance of the Antelope Valley, provided great information at the May Business-4-Breakfast.
- The Chamber celebrated milestones with both new
and existing members, including an open house at Independent Living Center of Southern California, the grand opening of Sip and Dip Artistry and Gallery and afternoon of delicious street tacos and some great networking at the Camacho Mitsubishi Mega Mixer. Thank you to the Camacho family for being gracious hosts!
As we move into June, I encourage all of our members to take advantage of one of the many benefits that come with a Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Membership, including (but not limited to):
- Wax up the Ferrari and join me at the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce's 114th annual Installation Dinner, "A Night at the King Kamehameha Club" on Friday, June 24 where we will be saying "mahalo" to this year's board and volunteers and "aloha" to incoming chairwoman Gina Rossall and new directors.
- Set up your FREE member page on the chamber website, lancasterchamber.org. Even if you're not tech savvy, our chamber services team can take your logo, photos and business info and build the page for you. It doesn't get much easier or cheaper to have a webpage than this!
- Book your spot on the Minding Your Business radio show with hosts Chris Spicher and Aaron Goldstein. Taped weekly, this is your opportunity share your business via radio and webcast.
There is real value in your Lancaster Chamber of Commerce membership. Let us be a part of your business success!
Josh Mann
