This is the 4th edition of our conference newsletter. To see the previous three, click here. Some of you have sent in good questions that deserve to be responded publicly.

Q. What are the highlights of the conference?
Speakers (3 keynotes and 40 concurrent), tours (half-day, full-day, overnight), a trade show, a mini film series (Tuesday through Thursday evening), delicious food (Monday night reception and lunches Tuesday through Thursday), social activities, regional mixers on Wednesday, the Oregon Convention Center, and the Portland region.

Q: Is the conference open only to Master Gardeners?
The conference is open to everyone! Anyone may register, but active Master Gardeners get a discount at registration in recognition of their volunteer service.

Q: How much does the conference registration cost? Tours?
These costs will be posted online on October 10, 2016, when registration opens. We continue to seek sponsorships in order to reduce the registration cost. We will post the cost of tours by October 10, 2016.

Q: I contacted the Doubletree Hotel and they don't have rooms open for the week of the conference. Why?

A: We have reserved nearly every room in the Doubletree for the week of July 10th. These rooms will become available to those who attend the 2017 IMGC when we release discount codes and the online hotel reservation links on or before October 10.

Q: I submitted a proposal to speak at the 2017 IMGC. When will I hear back?
The speaker committee is working hard to finalize concurrent session speakers. We anticipate finalizing the schedule by early September.
