Alligator Mating Season Is In Full Effect
|
One of the most beautiful features of Schalamar Creek is our
natural lakes, ponds and wildlife. According to Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, gator mating season is upon us. Courtship starts in April followed by mating in May and June.
This makes the alligators more active than usual. They become more visible during this time and more mobile as they seek out a mate and nesting areas. Please be extra cautious and respectful of their area.
