Hazardous Waste Collection on April 4th
|
On Saturday, April 4th from 9:00 am to 1:00om, the city of Lakeland's Solid Waste division in coordination with the Polk county Solid Waste Division is sponsoring a FREE Household Hazardous Waste and End-Of-Life Electronics Collection Event. The event will take place at the Lakeland Center, 701 W. Lime Street, in the south parking lot west of WONN/WPCV radio Station. This mobile event is intended to make it more convenient for you to safely dispose of our household hazardous waste and discarded electronic equipment. Accepted household materials: Paints, paint thinners, fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, insecticides, household batteries, etc. No bio-hazard (medical) waste or business waste will be accepted. Accepted Electronic materials: Computers, monitors, keyboards, terminals, televisions, stereos, printers, fax machines, video game consoles, wireless devices, etc. No more than five items per household please. The Divas Show on April 2nd

THE DIVAS SING " THE SOUNDS OF THE BANDS". Once again, on Thursday, April 2, 2015 the Divas will be entertaining you with songs from the past. The dinner buffet will begin at 5:00PM and the show will follow at 6:00PM. The tickets will be $13.95, inclusive of tax. Tea, water and coffee are included. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be an extra charge You will be able to sign up and buy your tickets from Ginger Kory, Norma Roberts and Norma Walker. Operation Smile Tournament on April 11th

On Saturday, April 11th join us as we Play a While and Save a Smile! Door prizes! Food!
The Day of Smiles Golf Tournament by PPA Charities will benefit Operation Smile, which provides surgeries for children around the world with cleft lip, cleft palate and facial deformities. Each surgery costs $240, so each foursome can save one smile!
There has never been a better reason to play a round of golf. Tell your friends - sign up sheet is in the hall.
