Marsatta Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory that has just moved to Torrance from Redondo Beach. The front 
of the store is a chocolate cafe that serves hot chocolate, coffee, mocha, pastries and other exquisite chocolate treats. The back of the store is the factory where the cocoa beans are sorted, roasted, cracked, winnowed and ground. Then the ground cocoa is tempered and molded for delicious chocolate bars or truffles. AT THE NEW TRANSIT CENTER SITE 
Phase 1 of the construction of Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal is complete! This facility will reduce single occupancy vehicle trips due to its close proximity to the I-405 and I-110 and its park and ride facilities. In addition the Transit Terminal will improve regional mobility linking Torrance Transit routes with other regional providers in the Transit Terminal. OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR SOUTH BAY FOCUS 2016
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: SEPTEMBER 24
The Torrance Art Museum is accepting applications for South Bay Focus, an annual art show that showcases the work of local artists. This year's juror is Peter Frank, legendary art writer, curator, editor and critic. Artists must live in a South Bay city or be a current member of the Torrance Artist's Guild or the South Bay Water Color Society to be eligible to participate. More than 18 million pounds of trash was collected by nearly 800,000 volunteers  all over the world during the 2015 International Coastal Cleanup. Save the date to be part of this year's International Coastal Clean Up Day, the largest volunteer day on the planet. LA TRIATHLON TRAFFIC IMPACTS
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2016 
 ROAD CLOSURES WILL BEGIN AT 5 AM
AND REOPEN NO LATER THAN 12 PM

On Sunday, September 11th, beginning at 6:50 a.m., Pacific Sports LLC, in cooperation with the City of Torrance, will be hosting the Los Angeles Triathlon at Torrance Beach.

Please be aware there will be adjustments in traffic flow on the morning of the event. To ensure the safety of participants, road closures will be in place that may affect your normal routine. Parking will not be permitted on affected streets from midnight of September 11th until 12 p.m. of the same day. Signage will go up in advance to notify you of restricted parking areas. Road closures will begin at 5 a.m. and will reopen no later than 12 p.m.

Walking and biking around on Sunday is highly encouraged as there will be a number of road closures and traffic will be redirected at times. Roads that will be closed include:
● Portions of Paseo De La Playa south of Via Riviera
● Via Riviera from Paseo De La Playa to Palos Verdes Blvd.
● De Las Tortugas
● Camino de Encanto
● Calle de Arboles
