Popular Korean barbecue chain Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong has fired up its grills in
Torrance. The new location is in the Eastgate Plaza shopping center, near the northwest corner of Carson Street and Western Avenue.  The menu is loaded with meat dishes that come in what are called sets that hungry diners can cook at their table. In this "show within a show," The Man in Chair sits down to listen to a recording of his favorite Broadway musical, a parody of 1920s musical comedy. The Torrance-South Bay YMCA will hold two free health screenings. The first is a hemoglobin A1c (blood sugar) prediabetes screening by Torrance Memorial Medical Center and the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program.
