ROCK AROUND THE BLOCK
POST AVENUE - STREET CLOSURE
On Thursday, July 21 from 3 to 9 p.m., the street will be temporarily closed to through traffic on Post Avenue between Cravens and Sartori Avenue for the annual Rock Around the Block event.
The Torrance Historical Society will host this 50s-style family summer event in celebration of Torrance's All-America City Award - one of America's original and most prestigious community recognition awards. The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., and is free to the public. There will be vintage cars on display and a DJ playing 50s music. The In-N-Out burger wagon will be selling burgers. Enter and win a prize at the hula hoop, bubble gum blowing and pie eating contests or the cake walk.

SUMMER FEST 2016
CABRILLO AVENUE - STREET CLOSURE
 
On Sunday, Aug. 14, Summer Fest 2016 will take place from 4 to 9 p.m.
Cabrillo Avenue between Torrance Boulevard and 213th Street will be closed to through traffic. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed access.
Summer Fest 2016 will benefit the Volunteer Center (South Bay/Harbor/Long Beach).

WALKING TOUR OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS
& A TASTE OF WHAT'S INSIDE
On Wednesday, Aug. 3, the Torrance Historical Society is hosting the 5th Annual Summer Stroll Special, a docent-led tour into some of the restaurants in Old Torrance. The tour begins at the Torrance Historical Society & Museum, 1345 Post Avenue, at 6 p.m.
There is a $35 donation per person to participate. The buildings on the tour include the Museum, Red Car Brewery & Restaurant, Tortilla Cantina, Kech Cafe, Depot, Keegan's, Restoration Kitchen & Wine and Torrance Bakery.
