ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES
A message from Torrance Public Works: In an effort to make the Downtown Torrance area more accessible, the City will soon be converting 15 existing angled parking spaces in the downtown area to being designated as parking for those with disabilities.  Each converted space will be marked with blue paint and include a sign and adjacent loading/unloading aisle.  The spaces may be used only by vehicles that display the required placard issued by a Department of Motor Vehicles.  The location for each space was determined primarily on providing the most convenient and beneficial access to all. Project Description...
Parking impacts: Work will begin shortly after July 4th and be completed by the end of July. Parking in each affected space will be prohibited for approximately 2 hours while the work is completed. Contact Engineering Manager Steve Finton for more information (310) 781-6900.
