WATCH THE WORK ZONE CAMERA
AT THE NEW TRANSIT CENTER SITE 
Work has begun at the site of the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal. The construction of this facility will reduce single occupancy vehicle trips due to its close proximity to the I-405 and I-110 and its park and ride facilities. In addition the Transit Terminal will improve regional mobility linking Torrance Transit routes with other regional providers in the Transit Terminal. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2016!
The City of Torrance congratulates the Class of 2016 on its academic achievements. The Torrance Adult School graduation ceremony is today, June 16 at 7 p.m. at Torrance High School. High school graduations will take place at North High (5:30 p.m.), Torrance High (6 p.m.), West High (5 p.m.) and South High (6 p.m.) on Wednesday, June 22. Middle school promotions will occur at various times throughout June 23. Thursday, June 23 also will be the last day of school for all other Torrance elementary school, middle school and high school students. Have a great summer!

The Cultural Arts Open House is the perfect time for the entire family to try out the different classes offered by the Cultural Arts Center. Throughout the day there will be free 25-minute demonstration sessions of various dance classes, instrument lessons and art workshops. Wear your exercise shoes and workout clothes to try out fitness classes like zumba, pilates, yoga and martial arts. We are excited to announce that in 2016, a City fireworks show will return to Torrance! The show will take place Monday, July 4, in the Civic Center area. The internal Civic Center parking lot will be closed for the launching of the fireworks, however surrounding parking lots will be open for the general public to view the show. In addition, the Toyota Sports Complex and a portion of the Courthouse parking lot will be open for public viewing. We will post information about times, parking/viewing locations, road closures and more, as it becomes available. We also will be updating TorranceCA.Gov/Fireworks as details are finalized.

Torrance Summer Camps will be in session Monday, June 27 to Friday, Sept. 2 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $130 to $155 per week and include crafts, outdoor games, walking field trips, and an off-site excursion. Summer Day Camps will be held at Greenwood Park, La Romeria Park and Wilson Park. Extended care will be available for an additional fee.
