WATCH THE WORK ZONE CAMERA
AT THE NEW TRANSIT CENTER SITE 
 
Work has begun at the site of the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal. The construction of this facility will reduce single occupancy vehicle trips due to its close proximity to the I-405 and I-110 and its park and ride facilities. In addition the Transit Terminal will improve regional mobility linking Torrance Transit routes with other regional providers in the Transit Terminal. The City of Torrance will hold a public workshop to discuss managing the coyote population in the City. The workshop will take place as part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, and is open to the public. The Torrance Police Department has offered information about dealing with coyotes. Torrance Summer Camps will be in session Monday, June 27 to Friday, Sept. 2 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $130 to $155 per week and include crafts, outdoor games, walking field trips, and an off-site excursion. Summer Day Camps will be held at Greenwood Park, La Romeria Park and Wilson Park. Extended care will be available for an additional fee. The City of Torrance Community Services invites Torrance residents to take advantage of early Summer Day Camp registration for Torrance residents, happening now! Torrance hosts the City Yard Open House and Car Show once every two years. Stop by to check out City vehicles on display including buses, refuse trucks, high-rangers, dump trucks and fire trucks. This year the event includes food trucks, a mulch giveaway, a Disaster Preparedness Expo and an Environmental Fair with exhibits and vendors. Learn about natural landscaping techniques, water conservation, electric vehicles and City EV charging stations. There is no public parking available at the City Yard. Park at the Court House, 825 Maple Avenue and take the free shuttle to the City Yard for the event. Fun for All...

Stop by the Wilson Park Animal Control Building for dog and cat vaccines and microchipping given by licensed 1st Care veterinarians. Prices are $16 for a thimerosal-free canine rabies vaccination; $26 for an adjuvant and thimerosal-free feline rabies vaccination; and $20 for microchipping and free lifetime registration.
