"Friday Fun" is a hands-on program for pre-schoolers, ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. The topics emphasize respect for all living things and prepare the children (and parents) to be good stewards of the planet. Space is limited to 20 children. Admission is free, but a $5 donation is greatly appreciated. Pre-registration is required.  Enjoy Nature...

Torrance Theatre Company presents another weekend of its winter production of the Tony winning comedy, "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike." Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Pennsylvania where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Richard Wade presents a program about how the dinosaurs lived and died, even the sounds they made! Learn how fossils are formed, and see a full scale model of a Tyrannosaurus skull, a 7-foot Brachiosaurus thigh bone, an enormous fossil footprint, and many other amazing objects. This program is free, sponsored by the Friends of the Torrance Library, and no registration is required.  Prehistoric Fun...
