The City of Torrance is pleased to announce the official re-opening of McMaster Park after extensive renovations. Improvements include Americans With Disabilities Act and other site and building upgrades to the Herma Tillim Senior Center, the North Torrance Community Center and other park buildings. There also is a new entrance off of Artesia Boulevard that opens to reveal new playground equipment, a new picnic area and basketball court, the reconfiguration of the existing baseball field with a new multi-use sports field, irrigation upgrades, new parking lot striping, fencing along Artesia Boulevard, as well as improved security lighting and landscaping. McMaster Park is located at 3624 Artesia Blvd

Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation is bringing the best opera performances to Torrance with screenings of the world renowned San Francisco Opera's cinema series. These operas were digitally recorded with multiple cameras and will be played back in high-definition Blu-Ray and stereo sound. This Sunday's opera is Norma, the story of a Druid high priestess who betrays her people by falling in love with an occupying Roman soldier.
