REGISTER FOR THE TURKEY TROT

Registration is open for the 36th Annual Harry Sutter Memorial Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Fun Run. The run will take place on Thursday, Nov. 26, and begins at 8 a.m. at the Sam's Club parking lot. Register online or fill out an entry form and mail or walk it in to the Torrance Community Services Department by Nov. 20 to meet the regular registration deadline. The Torrance Youth Council is sponsoring its 33rd Annual Christmas Boutique on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wilson Park. The boutique features a variety of hand-crafted goods such as toys, ceramics, needlework, quilts, dolls, jewelry, T-shirts and sweatshirts, stuffed animals and many one-of-a-kind items. The council is currently excepting applications for vendors who hand craft their goods. Apply to Be a Vendor...

The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites the public to spend a fun evening at its annual Halloween Carnival. This event is a safe, family friendly alternative to trick-or-treating. The carnival will feature games, crafts, face painting, a photo area, spooky music by DJ Ozzie, a costume parade and much more! Unlimited-use wristbands are $9 per child, and are required to participate in all carnival activities. Food trucks also will be present selling yummy munchies. The carnival will take place, rain or shine. Dogs and other pets are not allowed at this event. Happy Halloween...
