The TuTu Foundation aims to increase community access to cultural performance events, so admission to this dance showcase is free! Andrew Feustel is an earth scientist turned NASA astronaut who was part of one of the final missions of Space Shuttle Endeavour. His team worked on repair and maintenance of the famous Hubble Space Telescope, helping it to provide scientific value far beyond its intended life span. Dr. Feustel joins WMoF's celebrity lecture series to share some of the mysteries and adventures of the Space Shuttle program. The Southern California Amami-kai present their 40th Anniversary Amami Kai. Stage events will include Shimauta (island folk song shows), an Oshima-tsumugi kimono show, and in person appearance by Tsuyoshi Asayama the mayor of Amami. There will also be a photo exhibition of Tokunoshima's bullfighting displayed in the lobby of the Armstrong Theatre. The Torrance Youth Council is sponsoring its 33rd Annual Christmas Boutique on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wilson Park. The boutique features a variety of hand-crafted goods such as toys, ceramics, needlework, quilts, dolls, jewelry, T-shirts and sweatshirts, stuffed animals and many one-of-a-kind items. The council is currently excepting applications for vendors who hand craft their goods.
