MADRONA MARSH

Get a close-up look at some prehistoric fossils and learn the history of the Madrona Marsh Preserve and the animals that once lived here. At the same time, see what kinds of critters currently make their home in this vernal marsh. The program is $5 per person or $10 per family, and pre-registration is recommended. KATY GEISSERT CIVIC CENTER LIBRARY CLOSED FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library will be closed Friday, Aug. 7 due to a planned power outage and electrical work. Toddlertime also is canceled.

Calling all middle-schoolers: Bring your friends and join us at the Torrance Plunge for a splashing good time. Swim in the pool and enjoy a summer barbecue dinner. Swimsuits are required. No T-shirts, shorts or street clothes are allowed. All personal items must be locked into coin-operated lockers, available at the Plunge for 50 cents. Co-Rec Swim Night is $4 for members or $6 for guests; it includes dinner and admission to the Plunge.
