Calling all middle-schoolers: Bring your friends and join us at the Torrance Plunge for a splashing good time. Swim in the pool and enjoy a summer barbecue dinner. Swimsuits are required. No T-shirts, shorts or street clothes are allowed. All personal items must be locked into coin operated lockers, available at the Plunge for 50 cents. Co-Rec Swim Night is $4 for members or $6 for guests; it includes admission to the Plunge and dinner. A Co-Rec ID, middle school ID or a 5th grade report card is required for admission. Bridge USA Summer Festival is a two-day event featuring martial arts demonstrations, professional dancers, live music and a traditional Mikoshi parade. Expect cultural performances, exhibits, Japanese food, games for kids, and more than 60 booths filled with treats, kimonos and souvenirs. Come dressed up like your favorite anime character to enter the Cosplay contest. Admission to the festival is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
