OPEN REGISTRATION 
Torrance offers fun-filled Summer Day Camps with crafts, outdoor games, walking field trips and weekly excursions. Camps will be in session Monday, June 22, 2015 - Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $130 to $155 per week. Summer Day Camps will be held at Greenwood Park, La Romeria Park and Wilson Park. Extended care will be available for an additional fee. MOVIES IN THE PARK: "THE MUPPETS"

The Movies in the Park summer series premieres at Victor Park this Saturday at dusk (around 8 p.m.) Picnics, popcorn, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome as the park transforms into an outdoor movie theater. Come out for a free screening of the 2011 film, "The Muppets." This version of the family friendly franchise stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams, along with the whole roster of everyone's favorite puppets. Join them as they try to save Muppet Studios from a greedy businessman who plans to drill for oil on the spot. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and the rest of the gang hold a telethon to raise the $10 million they need to save the studio. Enjoy the Show ...

Don't miss this annual exhibition of the diverse work from Destination: Art's Associate Artist community. The event features works by more than 20 artists who support Destination: Art as Associate members. The showcase wraps up with a special reception and artwalk this Saturday evening. This will be a great time to meet the artists and talk about their work. The artwalk includes the showcase reception, plus an exhibit of Destination: Art Studio and Gallery Artists in the Plaza near the Buffalo Fire Department restaurant. Katy Geissert Civic Center Library, 3301 Torrance Blvd.; Mon.-Thur. from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
