Torrance Theatre Company presents this long running off-Broadway absurdist comedy places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the painter set the art world afire with cubism. Bystanders, including Picasso's agent, the bartender and his mistress, Picasso's date, an elderly philosopher, and an idiot inventor introduce flourishes of humor. The final surprise patron to join the merriment at the Lapin Agile is a singer time-warped in from a later era. Enjoy the show ...

FRIDAY, MAY 15 THROUGH SUNDAY MAY 17, 2015
Our nation's men and women of the military forces have defended our country, insured our freedom and upheld the beliefs and principles that this great nation was built on.

The City of Torrance is proud to once again honor the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces with a three-day celebration that will begin Friday, May 15, and continue through Sunday, May 17. The Parade highlight will be on Saturday, May 16. This year's honored branch is the United Coast Guard. The weekend's events also include two concert performances and military exhibits on display to the public.

The Torrance parade is the longest-running Armed Forces Day Parade in the nation, and the City of Torrance is proud to help honor and thank the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces!

THE U.S. AIR FORCE BAND OF THE GOLDEN WEST

JAMES R. ARMSTRONG THEATRE 
The U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West will perform for free
at the James R. Armstrong Theatre on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets were available at the Box Office on Wednesday, May 13, 2014. Ticket holders must be in their seats
15 minutes prior to concert time. However, there will be a line 
available for empty seats beginning 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start times. The 7:30 p.m. concert will also be cablecast live on Torrance 22 (Time Warner). For more information on the event and for tickets Explore the Event ...

Come to the Del Amo Fashion Center to view outdoor military exhibits. On display, there will be military aircraft, vehicles and support equipment. 

  

The Exhibits Are Open: 

Friday, May 15: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 16: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, May 17: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

The outdoor exhibits will be located in the parking lot east of the Lifestyle Wing (south of Fashion Way, along Madrona Avenue). Explore Something New ... 
56TH ANNUAL TORRANCE ARMED FORCES DAY PARADE

TORRANCE
The 56th Annual Armed Forces Day Parade begins at Crenshaw Boulevard traveling west on Torrance Boulevard and ending at Madrona Avenue. All streets intersecting the parade route will be closed the majority of the day.  

 

Torrance's parade is the longest-running Armed Forces Day Parade in the nation. As one of few cities designated by the Department of Defense, the City of Torrance is proud to honor the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces. This year's honored branch is the United States Coast Guard!

 

The Coast Guard will be led by Grand Marshal, Rear Adm. Joseph A. Servidio, Commander, 11th Coast Guard District. Honorary Grand Marshal will be award-winning actor Ted Lange.  Cheer on our Troops...

Before 56th Annual Armed Forces Day Parade, stop by Zamperini Field to get up close and personal with the planes flying over the parade route. Parking is free. WMoF Members get free admission.
