MADRONA MARSH NATURE CENTER AND PRESERVE

In 2012, California artist and educator Estelle DeRidder was awarded an education grant from the American Society of Botanical Artists to create plant identification cards about the plants at the Madrona Marsh Preserve. The project is now complete and is on display at the preserve. The exhibit ends Friday, so if you haven't seen it yet Don't Miss Out...

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Torrance Branch invites you to come and hear Renee Williams-Smith, Brooks' Most Inspiring Coach of 2014. She will share how she "broke into" the all-boys running club, running at El Camino College and then going on to win a scholarship to the University of Kansas. She will also talk about giving up a corporate career to go back to her high school alma mater to start the women's track team and coach them to year after year of wins.
