Join CSUDH professor Connie Vadheim for an entertaining class on various native plants. This month's lesson will be on rain: rain gardens, dry swales and other features to retain rainwater. After the presentation, participants will be taken through the Nature Center's Native Plant Garden and will be shown key points to encourage further discussion. Parents and especially kids may have noticed some work going on at Greenwood Park to replace the play structure. The work is now complete, and the new play area opened to the public on Monday, Dec. 29. The new play structure features several slides and climbing apparatus.
