National Night Out (NNO) is a nationwide campaign to stop crime in neighborhoods. Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, neighborhoods celebrate NNO with a variety of different activities, including block parties, cookouts and visits from the Torrance Police Department. CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF LOUIS ZAMPERINI

TODAY, JULY 31, 2014 | 6 PM 

The City of Torrance in partnership with the Torrance Historical Society, Torrance Unified School District, Torrance Airport Association, Torrance High School, and the Torrance High School Alumni Association, would like to invite the community to a memorial in honor of Torrance hometown hero, Louis Zamperini who passed away on July 2nd, 2014.
 
The memorial, open to the public is planned for 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 at Torrance High School's Zamperini Stadium (2125 Lincoln Ave.), Zamperini's alma mater. High heel shoes are not permitted on the field, PLEASE WEAR FLAT SHOES. For details, view the Press Release (PDF)...
