Car2Go is a new point to point car rental business in Torrance. On July 30, 2014 at 7 p.m. there will be a meeting in the West Annex Commission Room at City Hall for anyone interested in voicing their concerns about the business. The City of Torrance in partnership with the Torrance Historical Society, Torrance Unified School District, Torrance Airport Association, Torrance High School, and the Torrance High School Alumni Association, would like to invite the community to a memorial in honor of Torrance hometown hero, Louis Zamperini who passed away on July 2nd, 2014.
The memorial, open to the public is planned for 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 at Torrance High School's Zamperini Stadium (2125 Lincoln Ave.), Zamperini's alma mater.
