The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites all Torrance Middle school students to join us for a Co-Rec Swim Night. The fun will begin in the 50 by 20 meter outdoor pool with a summer BBQ on the patio to complete the evening!  Swimsuits are required.  The admission fee includes entrance and dinner.  A Torrance 5th Grade report card, a Co-Rec or Torrance Middle school ID card is required for admission. A Friendly Reminder...
In anticipation of the 4th of July holiday, we would like to remind everyone that within the City of Torrance, it is against the law to possess, store, offer for sale, expose for sale, sell at retail, give, furnish, use, or explode any fireworks, including those fireworks defined in the California Health and Safety Code as safe and sane fireworks. The City of Torrance puts resident safety first and wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day Celebration.

LOUIS ZAMPERINI, WAR HERO, OLYMPIC DISTANCE RUNNER, 2015 ROSE PARADE GRAND MARSHAL, HAS DIED

Louis Zamperini was a Torrance High School and University of Southern California track star. He was a Word War II Veteran who survived 47 days on a raft in the Pacific after his bomber crashed. In May, Zamperini was chosen to be the 2015 Rose Parade Grand Marshal. However, after 97 years, Zamperini has passed away but his legacy will be felt and remembered for years to come.
