MULTI-USE SPORTS FIELD

The 555 Maple Multi-Use Sports Fields continue to move along at a rapid pace. At completion the Multi-Use Sports Fields, will be a state-of-the-art, 6.2 acre facility will feature high-quality synthetic turf and energy-efficient sports lighting for year-round soccer, football, lacrosse, rugby and other sport playability. For those of you interested in participating in the Donor Wall program, the sponsorship deadline has been extended until 5 p.m. tomorrow, February 14, 2014. The Torrance Art Museum is pleased to announce the first exhibition of 2014, Reverb: music as both inspiration and content in contemporary art. The exhibition is curated by Max Presneill and Daniel Rothman and runs from January 18th through March 8th, 2014. Beyond the Ocean is a part of the Torrance Art Museum's mission to provide cultural exchanges from not only the local community but the international stage as well. These artists were selected to present artworks created from a Chinese perspective. As all cultural producers from around the world strive to express their point of view, here too the exhibiting artists are given a chance to present their work to an international audience. URGES REGIONAL CONSERVATION TO HELP COMBAT STATEWIDE DROUGHT

The Southern California Water Committee (SCWC) announced today that its Board of Trustees unanimously approved supporting Gov. Jerry Brown's emergency drought declaration and is encouraging Southern Californians to support the call for additional voluntary water conservation, as the state experiences record dry conditions.
