 MADRONA MARSH TEMPORARILY CLOSED 

In review of the findings and data presented by Los Angeles County Vector Control, and as a precautionary measure, the City of Torrance closed the Madrona Marsh Preserve on August 5th. The Preserve will remain closed until additional data is provided by Vector Control. Read More (PDF)>>

The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older.  Join the Fun...

MILITARY RECOGNITION PROGRAM 

NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS

The Hometown Heroes Military Banner Recognition Program recognizes our community's men and women in uniform who are currently serving in the Armed Forces, veterans who have served in the past, or veterans of the past who are now deceased. Street banners will be installed honoring individuals, and after being displayed for a minimum of 3 months will be presented to the family. In addition, the City Council will present a proclamation, acknowledging the individual's service to the City and the Nation.
