MILITARY RECOGNITION PROGRAM 

NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS

 The Hometown Heroes Military Banner Recognition Program recognizes our community's men and women in uniform who are currently serving in the Armed Forces, veterans who have served in the past, or veterans of the past who are now deceased. Street banners will be installed honoring individuals, and after being displayed for a minimum of 3 months will be presented to the family. In addition, the City Council will present a proclamation, acknowledging the individual's service to the City and the Nation. Representatives from the California Turtle and Tortoise Society will be at the Madrona Marsh Nature Center and Preserve for this "hands-on" event, with live turtles and tortoises on display as well as ones you can adopt.
