Mayor Scotto's 2013 State of the City Address and CitiCABLE introductory video will begin cablecasting on Torrance CitiCABLE Channel 3 (Time Warner) and 36 (Verizon):
- May 23rd through June 18th at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.
- June 19th through July 16th at 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

TORRANCE CitiCABLE AWARDED TWO STAR AWARDS

Torrance CitiCABLE, the government access cable
television channel for the City of Torrance, was recently awarded 2 States of California
and Nevada Television Access Recognition (STAR) Awards for their excellence in local
programming in the categories of News and Sports Show.
"This Week in Torrance" was named the best news show in California and Nevada. The winning episode touched on local events, weekly council meeting updates, and subjects including the May 2012 Cal State University Enrollment Freeze.
For an episode covering local Torrance sports and Wilson Park's recreational softball league, "The SportsDesk" was honored for their programming excellence in the Sport Show Category.
The STAR Awards were established in 1996 to recognize outstanding programs produced by public, educational, and/or government access facilities serving California
and Nevada communities.
