"The Legend of Hagoromo" is a live theater production made up entirely of Okinawa-based singers, actors, and musicians. It tells the story of a mortal man's marriage to a celestial woman, as performed through Okinawan Kageki (opera). It will surely be a treat for audience members of all generations, as the SHIP OF THE RYUKYU's young performers breathe new life into this classic legend with original choreography and expressive acting that aims to transcend the language barrier. TEA AT TWO - A VALENTINE'S DAY TEA AND PROGRAM

TORRANCE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM

The Torrance Historical Society will host Tea at Two - a Valentine's Day Tea and Program at the Museum -- hats and gloves, optional. This afternoon of tea, delicious delacasies and history will include, highlights of the History of Tea by Councilwoman Emerita & Historian, Miss Maureen O'Donnell. Each table will feature a teapot from the private collection of Jamie Ruth Watson, there will also be a vintage Linen Sale from the private collection of Janet Stancliff, and an opportunity to win Tea Party gift baskets, Historic hankies, and Valentine's will be on exhibit.
