MADRONA MARSH NATURE CENTER AND PRESERVE

Come to the Habitat Restoration Program every Saturday of every month from 8:45 a.m. to 12 noon. At the Madrona Marsh Preserve you will be engaging in planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Please wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves, and be ready to work. This year Torrance has a float entry with an array of colors and items symbolizing peace, innovation, and unlimited possibilities with the float design of "Follow Your Dreams". Be sure to watch local channels and support the Torrance Rose Float Association and the City of Torrance!

In a hundred years since an unknown patent clerk in Switzerland published his theories on space and time, mass and energy, and light and gravity, Einstein's relativity has reshaped our universe and our view of reality. This class is especially designed for kids interested in science. Most students's finish the class with a clear understanding Einstein's General and Special Theory of Relativity as well as some of the history that lead to these important theories. This 3 class series occurs on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of this month. Must attend all three classes. The class is for ages 9+ and Adults are welcome too. There is a $30 fee for all three classes and Registration is required. Read More...
